Kanao Tsuyuri’s haori in Demon Slayer is truly an iconic piece of clothing, even if it is only seen briefly in the anime. The vibrant baby blue colour is striking and brings a feeling of peace and serenity to the viewer almost instantly. The white symbols and patterns on the back represent Kanao’s status as a demon slayer, and remind us all of her dedication towards protecting those she loves. One can intuitively sense the hard-earned journey that brought her to where she stands today just by looking into her haori. Although we don’t get to witness Kanao fighting alongside Tanjiro very often, her haori symbolises courage and strength– which every aspiring demon slayer should strive for.
